Lori Hennon-Bell is the Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Prudential Financial, Inc., and head of the company’s Global Security Department. She is responsible for developing strategies for employee security, asset protection and crisis management; and for creating programs to help associates stay up-to-date with best practices to mitigate risk and respond appropriately in emergencies. Her responsibilities also include intelligence gathering and analysis, contingency planning, 24/7 monitoring, incident response and event management.
Hennon-Bell joined Prudential in 2005 after retiring from a 25-year career with the New Jersey State Police. At the time of her retirement, she was Lieutenant Colonel assigned as Deputy Superintendent of the Homeland Security Branch, which she created in 2004.
Hennon-Bell has an undergraduate degree from Thomas Edison State University and a graduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a state certified Public Manager. She also completed numerous leadership and management certificate programs including the School of Staff and Command at Northwestern University, the Executive Management Program, ISMA Security Executive Leadership Program, the Drug Enforcement Administration Leadership Program and the U.S. Secret Service Executive Protection Program.
Hennon-Bell is a member and chair of the Executive Committee of The Conference Board Council of Corporate Security Directors; co-chair of the Infrastructure Advisory Committee of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security & Preparedness; and chair of the New Jersey Financial Services Sector Working Group. She also is the co-chair of the Global Security Executive Round Table, as well as, the President of the 200 Club of Essex County. Lastly, she is active with ASIS International-Chief Security Officer Round Table and The Asia Crisis and Security Group.
